阴虚火旺、热盛遗精、血热崩漏者忌服。阴虚血燥所致之尿频、遗精，非本品所宜。
本品辛温，阴虚火旺者忌用。临床固精缩尿多用盐炙品。
益智，行阳退阴之药也。三焦、命门气弱者宜之。脾主智，此物能益脾胃故也。
益智子，止呕哕，摄涎唾，缩小便。
