主气血两虚，营血不足，不能上荣于舌；常见于久病体虚、失血、慢性消耗性疾病。
Indicates dual deficiency of qi and blood, where insufficient nutritive blood fails to reach the tongue; common in chronic debility, blood loss, and wasting diseases.
