Build a prescription with automatic checks against the classical Eighteen Antagonisms, Nineteen Fears, and documented herb-drug interactions.
Search and add herbs below. The builder sorts by sovereign-minister-assistant-courier and checks for classical incompatibilities.
About Shi Ba Fan and Shi Jiu Wei: these are the classical incompatibility taboos of Chinese herbal medicine, both recognized since the Song-Yuan period. The Eighteen Antagonisms are first documented in Zhang Zihe's Ru Men Shi Qin; the Nineteen Fears took shape in the Ming. Both are codified in Li Shizhen's Bencao Gangmu (1596). Pairs in either list are considered absolute contraindications and should never appear in the same prescription.
Scope of this tool: the builder checks only the classical Shi Ba Fan / Shi Jiu Wei rules and the herb-drug interactions documented in this dataset. Combinations not flagged are not necessarily safe. Clinical use must be determined by a qualified TCM practitioner working from a real diagnosis.
