Li Dongyuan's two-herb formula with huang qi and dang gui in a 5:1 ratio. Based on the principle that 'formless qi must be urgently secured since formed blood cannot be rapidly generated,' it vigorously supplements Spleen-Lung qi to drive blood production. A classic demonstration of the mutual generation of qi and blood.
