The representative formula for exterior vacuity spontaneous sweating and susceptibility to external pathogens, composed of huang qi, bai zhu, and fang feng. The pairing of huang qi (which secures the exterior) with fang feng (which disperses the exterior) seems contradictory yet is masterful: it secures without trapping pathogens and dispels without damaging the upright.
