The dried root of Morinda officinalis (Rubiaceae). Enters the Kidney and Liver channels. Pungent, sweet, and warm, it tonifies Kidney yang without causing dryness, making it a key warming yang tonic. It also strengthens sinews and bones and dispels wind-dampness, and is commonly used for Kidney-yang vacuity complicated by wind-damp impediment pain. Frequently combined with yin yang huo and rou cong rong.

煎服3–10g。亦可入丸散或浸酒。
