Dēng Xīn Cǎo

Rush Pith

The dried pith of Juncus effusus (Juncaceae). Enters the Heart, Lung, and Small Intestine channels. Light in substance and thin in qi, it excels at clearing Heart fire and disinhibiting urination, a key herb for mouth sores and vexation from flaring Heart fire.
