The dried fruit of Citrus medica var. sarcodactylis (Rutaceae). Enters the Liver, Spleen, Stomach, and Lung channels. Pungent, bitter, sour, and warm, it is aromatic and excellent for coursing the Liver, harmonizing the Stomach, and transforming phlegm.
