The inner portion of the Fu Ling sclerotium (Poria cocos, Polyporaceae) that envelops the host pine root — a specialty processed form of parent Fu Ling. Enters the Heart channel more specifically than whole Fu Ling. Sweet, bland, and neutral; with emphasis shifted toward calming the Heart and quieting the spirit, used for palpitations, insomnia, and restlessness with underlying dampness.
