Jīn Qiáo Mài

Wild Buckwheat Rhizome

The dried rhizome of Fagopyrum dibotrys (Polygonaceae). Cool, pungent and bitter, entering the Lung channel. Clears heat, resolves toxicity, and drains pus from abscesses. Particularly effective for lung abscess with purulent sputum; commonly used in modern practice for respiratory infections and pulmonary abscess.
