Dried stamen of the lotus flower (Nelumbo nucifera, Nelumbonaceae) — the stamen portion of the same plant yielding Lian Zi, He Ye, Lian Fang, and Ou Jie. Enters the Heart and Kidney channels. Sweet, astringent, and neutral; secures the Kidney and constrains essence, used for seminal emission, spermatorrhea, enuresis, and excessive uterine bleeding.
