The dried fruiting body of Lasiosphaera fenzlii, Calvatia gigantea, or C. lilacina (Lycoperdaceae). Neutral and pungent, entering the Lung channel. Clears the Lung, benefits the throat, and stops bleeding. A valued remedy for sore throat with hoarseness; applied externally as powder to stop wound bleeding. Should be wrapped in cloth when decocted.
