The dried aerial part of Portulaca oleracea (Portulacaceae). Cold and sour, entering the Liver and Large Intestine channels. Clears heat, resolves toxicity, cools the blood, and stops dysentery. A common remedy for heat-toxin bloody dysentery; fresh herb poulticed externally treats sores and eczema. Also edible as a vegetable.
Reference range for non-pregnant adults. Not a personalized prescription. Pregnancy, lactation, and pediatric use require specialist supervision.
