A metamorphic mineral consisting of chlorite schist or mica schist (Chloriti Lapis). Enters the Lung and Liver channels. Sweet, salty, and neutral, it is heavy and downward-draining, excelling at precipitating stubborn phlegm and settling the Liver. A drastic phlegm-expelling mineral that must be calcined before use; combined with da huang, chen xiang, and huang qin in Mengshi Guntan Wan.
