The dried gallstone of Bos taurus domesticus (Bovidae). Enters the Heart and Liver channels. Bitter, sweet, and cool, it is a precious medicinal that clears the Heart, expels phlegm, opens the orifices, and arouses the spirit. Cattle bezoar contains cholic acid, deoxycholic acid, and bilirubin with sedative, anticonvulsant, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and hypotensive effects consistent with its heart-clearing, phlegm-expelling, and wind-extinguishing actions.
