White crystalline powder of mercurous chloride (Hg₂Cl₂) obtained by sublimation. Enters the Large and Small Intestine channels. Pungent, cold, and extremely toxic. External use only — kills parasites, attacks toxicity, and closes sores. A highly toxic mercury compound; modern use is virtually obsolete.

轻粉含氯化亚汞，外用有杀菌、杀虫、敛疮作用。汞离子经皮吸收积蓄可致全身汞中毒。现代已基本被更安全的药物替代。
Qing fen contains mercurous chloride; topically provides antibacterial, antiparasitic, and wound-closing effects. Percutaneous mercury absorption causes systemic mercury poisoning. Largely superseded by safer modern alternatives.
