The dried aerial parts of Dianthus superbus or D. chinensis (Caryophyllaceae). Enters the Heart and Small Intestine channels. Bitter-cold with a descending nature, it strongly disinhibits urination and frees strangury while also breaking blood stasis and unblocking the menses.
