The dried tuberous root of Pseudostellaria heterophylla (Caryophyllaceae), also known as hai er shen (child ginseng). Enters the Spleen and Lung channels. Sweet, slightly bitter, and neutral, it augments qi and generates fluids with a mild and clear action, making it the ideal clear-supplementing medicinal. It is most suitable for mild qi-yin dual vacuity, pediatric patients, and post-febrile recovery.
