The dried aerial part of Mosla chinensis or M. chinensis var. jiangxiensis (Lamiaceae). Enters the Lung and Stomach channels. Pungent and slightly warm, it releases the exterior and disperses cold externally while transforming dampness and harmonizing the middle internally, with an additional diuretic action. Known as the 'Ephedra of summer,' it is the essential herb for summer wind-cold with internal dampness injury.

内服煎汤3–10g;发表用量宜小且不宜久煎,利水退肿用量宜大且须浓煎。宜凉服以免致吐。
