The dried flower of Datura metel or D. innoxia (Solanaceae). Enters the Lung and Liver channels. Pungent, warm, and highly toxic. It calms wheezing, relieves spasms, and provides anesthesia and analgesia. An effective anti-asthmatic but requires strict dosage control due to high toxicity. Hua Tuo's legendary Ma Fei San anesthetic reportedly contained this herb. A small number of modern proprietary formulas still include it.

曼陀罗花有毒。入酒饮，令人麻痹无知。诸风痛及寒湿脚气，煎汤洗之。

Datura flower contains tropane alkaloids (hyoscyamine, scopolamine, atropine) with antispasmodic, anti-asthmatic, analgesic, and anesthetic effects, along with significant anticholinergic toxicity.
