Treatment Principle

滋阴补肺益肾

Enrich yin, supplement the Lung, and benefit the Kidney

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

dry cough with scant sputum
tidal fever and night sweating
aching and weakness of the low back and knees
hoarseness

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

blood-streaked sputum
malar flush
emaciation
spermatorrhea

Etiology · 病因

Prolonged cough damaging the Lung reaching downward to the Kidney, or Kidney yin insufficiency with vacuity fire scorching the Lung.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Lung-Kidney yin is depleted; vacuity fire scorches the network vessels.
