Wind-Cold Invading the Lung Pattern

Treatment Principle

疏风散寒，宣肺止咳

Disperse wind-cold, diffuse the Lung and stop coughing

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

cough with a heavy sound
thin white sputum
nasal congestion with clear runny discharge
aversion to cold with fever

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

headache and body pain
absence of sweating

Etiology · 病因

External invasion of wind-cold, impairing the Lung's diffusing and descending functions.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Wind-cold binds the Lung, Lung qi fails to diffuse, and fluids are not distributed.
