Liver Wind Stirring Internally Pattern

Treatment Principle

平肝息风

Level the Liver and extinguish wind

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

severe dizziness with tendency to fall
headache with pulling sensation
tremor and convulsions of the limbs
deviation of the mouth and eyes

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

stiff tongue with slurred speech
hemiplegia
sudden collapse

Etiology · 病因

Liver yang transforming into wind, or extreme heat generating wind, or yin vacuity stirring wind, or blood vacuity generating wind.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Liver wind stirs internally, the wind qi disturbs the clear orifices above and sweeps laterally through the channels.
