Treatment Principle

清肝泻火

Clear the Liver and drain fire

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

headache and dizziness
facial flushing and red eyes
irritability and easy anger
bitter taste and dry mouth

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

burning pain in the hypochondrium
tinnitus like waves
hematemesis or epistaxis
constipation

Etiology · 病因

Emotional frustration with Liver depression transforming into fire, or excessive intake of acrid-hot and warm-dry foods.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Liver fire flames upward, disturbing the head and eyes with its ascending nature.
