Hán Shī Kùn Pí Zhèng

Cold-Dampness Encumbering the Spleen Pattern

Treatment Principle

温中化湿

Warm the middle and transform dampness

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

epigastric and abdominal distension and oppression
greasy taste in the mouth without thirst
nausea with desire to vomit
loose stools or diarrhea

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

heaviness of the head and body
dark dusky complexion
limb edema

Etiology · 病因

External invasion of cold-dampness evil, or dietary intake of raw-cold foods damaging the Spleen.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Cold-dampness obstructs the middle, and the Spleen loses healthy transportation.
