Treatment Principle

补肾纳气

Supplement the Kidney and promote qi grasping

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

chronic dyspnea with more exhalation than inhalation
dyspnea aggravated by exertion
shortness of breath insufficient to breathe
aching and weakness of the low back and knees

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

spontaneous sweating
dark greenish complexion
cold limbs

Etiology · 病因

Prolonged cough and dyspnea damaging the Kidney, or Kidney vacuity from aging.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Kidney vacuity fails to grasp qi and return it to its root; qi floats upward.
