Treatment Principle

燥湿化痰，宣肺止咳

Dry dampness and transform phlegm; diffuse the Lung and stop coughing

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

cough with copious white easily expectorated sputum
chest oppression
dyspnea with phlegm sounds

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

body heaviness
poor appetite
nausea

Etiology · 病因

Spleen vacuity generating phlegm that floods upward to the Lung, or external dampness invading the Lung.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Phlegm-dampness congests the Lung; the Lung fails to diffuse and descend.
