Treatment Principle

清热利湿，通利小肠

Clear heat and disinhibit dampness; free the Small Intestine

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

red scanty urine with scorching pain
urinary frequency and urgency
thirst

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

vexation
mouth and tongue sores
abdominal pain

Etiology · 病因

Heart fire shifting downward to the Small Intestine, or external invasion of damp-heat evil.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Damp-heat accumulates in the Small Intestine, impairing its function of separating the clear from the turbid.
