Xīn Xuè Xū Zhèng

Heart Blood Vacuity Pattern

Treatment Principle

补血养心，益气安神

Nourish blood and the Heart; augment qi and calm the spirit

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

palpitations
insomnia with excessive dreaming
dizziness and vertigo
lusterless complexion
pale lips and tongue

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

forgetfulness
numbness of the hands and feet

Etiology · 病因

Spleen-Stomach vacuity with insufficient source of generation; or excessive mental exertion silently consuming Heart blood; or excessive blood loss.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Insufficient Heart blood fails to nourish the Heart, and the spirit fails to keep its abode.

Restore the Spleen Decoction

酸枣仁汤

Suān Zǎo Rén Tāng

Sour Jujube Decoction
