Treatment Principle

活血化瘀

Invigorate blood and dispel stasis

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

stabbing pain with fixed location
tenderness on palpation
palpable mass
dark-colored bleeding with clots

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

dark dusky complexion
rough scaly skin
cyanotic lips and nails

Etiology · 病因

Qi stagnation causing blood to congeal, cold congealing blood, heat scorching the nutritive blood, or traumatic injury.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Blood circulation is impeded and stasis blood obstructs internally.
