Yáng Míng Jīng Zhèng

Treatment Principle

辛寒清气，生津止渴

Acrid-cold to clear qi-level heat, generate fluids and stop thirst

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

great body heat
profuse sweating
great thirst with desire to drink
surging large pulse

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

red face and vexation
coarse rapid breathing

Etiology · 病因

Taiyang disease left untreated allows pathogenic heat to enter the interior and dry out, then transmit into the yangming channel, filling interior and exterior.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Pathogenic heat is transmitted internally to the yangming channel; interior heat is effulgent, spreads throughout the body, and damages the fluids.
