Treatment Principle

清燥润肺，养阴止咳

Clear dryness and moisten the Lung; nourish yin and stop coughing

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

dry cough with no sputum or scant sticky sputum
dry throat
dryness of the mouth and nose

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

chest pain
fever with aversion to cold
blood-streaked sputum

Etiology · 病因

Autumnal dryness evil enters via the nose and mouth, invading the Lung system.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Dryness evil damages the Lung, impairing its moistening and descending; fluids are consumed.
