Isatis Leaf

清热解毒药寒cold 苦bitter

十字花科植物菘蓝的干燥叶。性寒味苦，归心、胃经。与板蓝根同源，善清热解毒、凉血消斑，为治温病发斑、咽喉肿痛之常用药。

凉血消斑Cool the blood and dissipate macules
利咽消肿Benefit the throat and reduce swelling

温病高热，神昏发斑Warm disease with high fever, clouded consciousness, and macules
咽喉肿痛Swollen, sore throat
痄腮丹毒Mumps and erysipelas
