煎服6–15g(约3–12枚),擘开入煎。大剂量可用至30g。与生姜同煎以调和营卫。

大枣富含多糖、环腺苷酸(cAMP)、三萜酸及微量皂苷,具有补益脾胃、调和药性、免疫增强及护肝作用,是方剂中常用的调和药。
Jujubae Fructus is rich in polysaccharides, cyclic nucleotides (cAMP), triterpenic acids, and trace saponins, with spleen-tonifying, immunomodulatory, and hepatoprotective effects; it is widely used as a harmonizing herb in classical formulas.
Bensky 指出大枣在经方中常作为调和药,减缓峻烈药物的副作用,如十枣汤中以大枣煎汤送服甘遂、大戟、芫花。
Bensky notes that Da Zao serves as a harmonizer that mitigates the harshness of other herbs, as in Shi Zao Tang where jujube decoction is used to administer gan sui, da ji, and yuan hua.
陈氏药理学记载大枣多糖可增强淋巴细胞增殖并改善化疗后白细胞减少。
Chen & Chen note that Jujube polysaccharides enhance lymphocyte proliferation and ameliorate chemotherapy-induced leukopenia in animal models.
Brinker 提醒糖尿病患者大量食用大枣可能影响血糖控制,湿盛中满者慎用。
Brinker cautions that large amounts of Da Zao may affect glycemic control in diabetics and should be used sparingly in dampness with abdominal fullness.
