通络利尿，作用类同广地龙
煎服5–10g；研末吞服，每次1–2g；鲜品10–20g。外用适量。性寒，脾胃虚寒者不宜久服。

地龙含蚓激酶（一组纤溶酶）、次黄嘌呤与多种氨基酸，药理证实其溶栓、抗凝、降压、解痉平喘与抗惊厥作用。
Dilong contains lumbrokinase (a family of fibrinolytic enzymes), hypoxanthine and amino acids; pharmacology confirms thrombolytic, anticoagulant, antihypertensive, bronchodilatory and anticonvulsant activity.
《中国药典》收录地龙原粉及蚓激酶制剂（如蚓激酶肠溶胶囊）用于缺血性心脑血管疾病。
Chinese Pharmacopoeia lists dilong powder and lumbrokinase enteric capsules for ischemic cardiovascular-cerebrovascular disease.
热证惊风、中风偏瘫及哮喘为主要传统适应症。
Traditional indications include heat-pattern convulsions, poststroke hemiplegia and asthma.
与抗凝、抗血小板药物合用可能增加出血风险。
