祛风湿，利水消肿
宜用粉防己（汉防己，Stephania tetrandra），利水消肿力胜；木防己（青风藤类）偏于祛风通络止痛。

粉防己（汉防己，Stephania tetrandra）主含双苄基异喹啉生物碱（粉防己碱、防己诺林碱），药理示其钙通道阻滞、降压、抗炎、抗纤维化与抗肿瘤作用。
Fangji (Stephania tetrandra) contains bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloids (tetrandrine, fangchinoline); pharmacology shows calcium channel blockade, antihypertensive, anti-inflammatory, antifibrotic and antitumor activity.
《中国药典》仅收载粉防己（Stephania tetrandra），严禁使用含马兜铃酸的广防己（Aristolochia fangchi）。
Chinese Pharmacopoeia lists only Stephania tetrandra; Aristolochia fangchi (containing aristolochic acid) is prohibited.
WHO 与多国监管机构均警示广防己类马兜铃酸肾毒性及致癌风险。

应严格区分粉防己与广防己以避免误用。
