旱莲草（墨旱莲）含蟛蜞菊内酯类香豆雌酚和三萜皂苷，具保肝、止血、抗蛇毒、促毛发生长作用。
Han Lian Cao (Mo Han Lian) contains coumestans (wedelolactone) and triterpene saponins with hepatoprotective, hemostatic, antivenom, and hair-growth-promoting effects.
旱莲草甘酸寒，补肝肾阴，凉血止血。
Sweet-sour and cold; nourishes liver-kidney yin, cools blood, and arrests bleeding.
