Jue Ming Zi contains anthraquinones and naphthopyrone glycosides with mild laxative, hypolipidemic, hypotensive, and hepatoprotective effects.
决明子甘苦咸微寒，清肝明目，润肠通便。
Sweet-bitter-salty and slightly cold; clears liver heat, improves vision, and moistens the intestines.
