煎服3–6g；研末冲服，每次0.6–1g，宜入丸散；外用适量。本品有毒，剂量不可过大，应严格控制。

全蝎为东亚钳蝎干燥体，主含神经毒性多肽，现代研究显示抗癫痫、抗肿瘤及镇痛的临床前活性，但毒性明显，须严格控制剂量。
Whole scorpion (Buthus martensii) contains a mixture of neurotoxic peptides with preclinical antiepileptic, antitumor, and analgesic activity; toxicity is notable and dosing must be strictly controlled.
《中药学》（Bensky）记载全蝎有毒，常用量仅 1–3 g（入煎剂），散剂更小；过量可致呼吸麻痹、溶血。
Bensky lists whole scorpion as toxic, usual decoction dose only 1–3 g (powder smaller); overdose can cause respiratory paralysis and hemolysis.
