清热泻火药寒cold 甘sweet 苦bitter

葫芦科植物栝楼或双边栝楼的干燥根。性寒味甘微苦，归肺、胃经。善清热生津止渴，为治消渴之要药，又能消肿排脓，用于疮痈肿毒。孕妇忌用。

润燥化痰Moisten dryness and transform phlegm

热病烦渴，内热消渴Febrile disease with thirst, wasting-thirst from internal heat

痈肿疮疡Carbuncles, abscesses, and sores
