土鳖虫含纤溶酶等蛋白酶类成分，具抗凝、纤溶、抗血栓及促进骨折愈合作用。
Ground beetle contains fibrinolytic enzymes with anticoagulant, fibrinolytic, antithrombotic, and fracture-healing-promoting effects.
《中国药典》收载土鳖虫。
Chinese Pharmacopoeia lists Tubiechong.
土鳖虫为仲景大黄蟅虫丸主药，善治干血劳、症瘕积聚等顽固血瘀证。
Bensky notes Tubiechong is the chief herb in Zhang Zhongjing's Dahuang Zhechong Wan for stubborn blood stasis including dry blood taxation.
