雪上一枝蒿含乌头碱类二萜生物碱（包括强效止痛成分高乌甲素），具镇痛、抗炎作用，但毒性极大，须严格限量入药。
Xue Shang Yi Zhi Hao contains aconitine-type diterpene alkaloids (including the potent analgesic bulleyaconitine A) with analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects; extremely toxic with narrow therapeutic index.
雪上一枝蒿苦辛温，有大毒，祛风止痛，活血散瘀；内服须严格控制剂量，多以酊剂外用。
Bitter-acrid and warm with severe toxicity; dispels wind, alleviates pain, and invigorates blood; internal use requires strict dose control and is usually as tincture/external preparation.
高乌甲素类过量可致严重心律失常、呼吸抑制甚至死亡，需专业监管下使用。
