鱼腥草以鱼腥草素（癸酰乙醛）和黄酮苷为主要抗菌成分，具广谱抗菌、抗病毒、抗炎、增强免疫作用。
Yu Xing Cao's principal antibacterials are houttuynin (decanoyl acetaldehyde) and flavonol glycosides, producing broad-spectrum antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and immune-enhancing effects.
鱼腥草辛微寒，清热解毒，消痈排脓，利尿通淋。
Acrid and slightly cold; clears heat, resolves toxin, reduces abscess, and promotes urination.
