舌色红，苔黄厚而干，甚则焦黄起芒刺，触之燥涩无津。
Tongue red, with a thick, dry yellow coating, sometimes scorched-yellow with prickles; dry and rough to the touch, lacking fluids.
主里实热证，热盛津伤；多见于阳明腑实、热结肠道或气分热盛。
Indicates interior repletion heat with consumption of fluids; commonly seen in yangming bowel repletion, heat obstructing the intestines, or severe qi-level heat.
