伸舌时舌体不自主颤抖摇动，不能自持，舌色或淡或红，苔薄。
On protrusion the tongue involuntarily trembles and quivers and cannot be held still; color may be pale or red, with a thin coating.
舌淡而颤者，多属气血两虚；舌红绛而颤者，多属热极动风或肝阳化风。
Trembling with a pale tongue usually indicates dual deficiency of qi and blood; trembling with a red-crimson tongue typically indicates extreme heat stirring wind or liver-yang transforming into wind.
