The dried tuber of Corydalis yanhusuo (Papaveraceae). Enters the Liver and Spleen channels. Pungent, bitter, and warm, it excels at invigorating blood and moving qi to alleviate pain, treating qi stagnation within blood and blood stasis within qi. Li Shizhen stated it 'specifically treats all pain throughout the body, above and below,' making it the foremost herb for combined blood-invigorating and qi-moving pain relief.
活血行气之力较强
增强行气止痛之功，醋制后生物碱易溶出，止痛效果显著增强，为临床常用品
煎服常用3–10g；研末吞服每次1.5–3g。止痛以醋制品为佳。

Corydalis contains isoquinoline alkaloids; tetrahydropalmatine (rotundine) is the principal central analgesic, acting through dopamine D2 receptor blockade without addiction liability, providing the pharmacological basis for its blood-invigorating, qi-moving pain-relieving action.
罗通定片收录于《中国药典》，为非成瘾性中枢镇痛药。
