Drive Out Stasis Below the Diaphragm Decoction

From Wang Qingren's Corrections on Errors Among Physicians, the representative formula for blood stasis below the diaphragm (Liver, Gallbladder, Spleen, and Stomach regions). Dang Gui and Chuan Xiong invigorate and nourish blood as sovereigns, joined by Tao Ren, Hong Hua, and Chi Shao for stasis-dispelling, and Wu Yao, Yan Hu Suo, Xiang Fu, and Zhi Shi for qi-moving pain-stopping — so that qi flows, blood moves, stasis disperses, and pain ceases.
