Tài Yīn Bìng Zhèng

Taiyin Stage Pattern

Treatment Principle

温中散寒，健脾燥湿

Warm the middle and dispel cold, strengthen spleen and dry dampness

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

abdominal fullness with vomiting
inability to eat
spontaneous diarrhea without thirst
intermittent spontaneous abdominal pain

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

cold extremities
mental fatigue and lack of strength

Etiology · 病因

External pathogen striking Taiyin directly, or three-yang disease mistreated so that Spleen yang is damaged and cold-dampness becomes exuberant internally.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Spleen yang is debilitated, movement and transformation fail, cold-dampness accumulates internally, and upbearing and downbearing lose their norm.

理中汤

Lǐ Zhōng Tāng

Regulate the Middle Decoction
