The dried leaf of Morus alba (Moraceae). Enters the Lung and Liver channels. Sweet, bitter, and cold, it disperses wind-heat, clears the Lung and moistens dryness, and calms ascendant Liver yang while clearing the Liver and brightening the eyes. It is a standard herb for early-stage warm-disease and autumn dryness cough, serving as the chief in Sang Ju Yin.
