Jué Yīn Bìng Zhèng

Jueyin Stage Pattern

Treatment Principle

寒热并调，和解厥阴

Harmonize cold and heat, reconcile Jueyin

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

wasting-thirst
qi surging up to the heart with hot pain in the chest
hunger without desire to eat; eating provokes vomiting of roundworms
alternating reversal cold of the limbs and fever

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

incessant diarrhea after purging
restlessness and agitation

Etiology · 病因

Disease reaches the Jueyin stage; the Liver fails to govern free-coursing, yin and yang qi fail to meet in smooth transition, and cold and heat become intermixed.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Cold and heat are intermixed in the Jueyin (Liver) channel; yin and yang alternately prevail, with heat above and cold below.
